SIGHTINGS

Birds {seen or heard}: Herring Gulls, Black-headed Gulls, Carrion

Crows, Sparrowhawk, Wood Pigeons, Nuthatches, Treecreeper,

Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Stonechats, Siskins, Kingfisher,

Blackbirds, Song Thrush, Robin, Wren, Goldcrest, Dunnocks,

Chaffinches, Greenfinches, Bullfinch, Coal/Blue/Great/Long-tailed

Tits.

Mammals: Grey Squirrels, Mole activity, Fox.

Insects: Species of Flies and Bees, Midges.

Butterflies/Moths: Peacock.

Plants (in Flower/Berry): Rowan, Holly, Ivy.

Fungi/Lichen: Birch Polypore (Fomitopsis betulina) , Candlesnuff

fungus (Xylaria hypoxylon), Milking Bonnet (Mycena galopus), Tawny

grisette (Amanita fulva), Scaly rustgill (Gymnopolus sapineus),

Common greenshield Licheen (Flavoparmelia), Purplepore bracket

(Trichaptum abbietinum), Hairy bracket (Trametes hirsute),

Whiteworm Lichen (Thamnolia vermicularis), Conifercone cap

(Baeospora myosura), Liver milkcap (Lactarius hepaticus), Bo;ete

mold (Hypomyces chrysospermus) Pinkedge bonnet (Mycena

capillaripes), Blewit (Lepista nuda).

The selection of Fungi were all found in the woodland area stretching west/east from Redwood Drive down to the first bridge.

The Kingfisher was seen along the stream adjacent to Hazel Drive.

Species of Tits are now using the nesting boxes to roost in at nights.
